PINE TOWNSHIP ENGINE COMPANY P.O. Box 627 Grove City, PA 16127 (724) 458-0636 March 6, 2008 FROM: Pine Township Engine Company The Pine Township Engine Company returned its firefighters to full duty at 8 PM on Saturday March 8th. As the last stand-by crews mounting their rigs to return home we were finally able to take a few moments to thank each of them. The emotion of that moment was as overwhelming as any we had seen in this past week. It was at that moment we realized how many friends we have in the fire service and we as hugged each member of that crew the faces and kindness of each of you flashed through our house. We have a debt and gratitude which we will carry in our hearts forever. That gratitude extends to the community as well. As we escorted Brad to his final resting place we were simply in awe as the community lined the streets to offer their support. To that point in the gifts of food and offers of support were appreciated but those hundreds people who braved the cold and snow brought warmth to our hearts and to the Holmes family. Today we are together in station to clean and re-group. Our healing has begun as we work. We remember and we laugh as the mischief that Brad has played. For certain it is his way of helping us through. We have so many people to thank. Our brothers and sisters in the fire service, police, EMS, government leaders, the Grove City College, our business community and so many wonderful people that we did not even know. Thank-you all We are truly blessed to have you all.
