2035 hrs this evening 85 was again alerted for a brush fire, which was reported to involve a shed. Chief 85 arrived on scene to find a large burn pile and field fire. Brush 85 arrived on scene and went to work on the field fire. Engine 85-2 arrived on scene and assisted the Brush unit with mop up of the burn pile and perimeter. Around 1630 hrs 85 again was alerted with 100 for another crash at South Center St. Ext. and George Junior Rd. this time with entrapment. Medic 102 arrived on scene along with Chief 85 to find a 2 vehicle crash blocking the roadway, one pt. pinned. Chief 85 assumed Command confirming entrapment. Squad 85 arrived on scene with 6 and quickly went to work. Crews stablilized the vehicle, pulled an 1 3/4 protection line and removed the drivers door of the SUV with the Maverick Combi tool. Pt. was extricated within minutes and taken to the awaiting EMS unit. Squad 85 remained on scene for fluid clean up and traffic control until the roadway could be opened. During the brush fire on Barkeyville Rd. Station 85 was alerted with 100 for a crash at South Center St. Ext. and George Junior Rd. A Medic unit from 100 arrived on scene moments later and stated fire and ems could go back into service, no injuries. |

Around 1500 hrs today Station 85 was dispatched for a brush/woods fire across from Glenn Lakes Estate on Barkeyville Rd. Chief 85 arrived on scene with an approx 1 acre woods fire endangering a gas well. Chief 85 established Barkeyville Rd. Command. Station 3 was also alerted to assist with Brush Truck and manpower. 23:37hrs Wednesday night Station 85 was alerted for a mutual aid response to Station 34 Butler County for a Chimney fire. Engine 85 went enroute with a crew of 5. Engine 85-2 shortly behind Engine 85 also went enroute with a crew of 5. Engine 85 arrived on scene of a 2 story wood frame structure with moderate smoke showing from the chimney. Engine 33 and 34 already on scene. Crew from Engine 85 was split into 2 crews. One crew was sent to the roof and the second crew was assigned to check the walls on all divisions with the thermal imager. Engine 85-2 arrived on scene and was instructed to send their crew to the basement to the fire box. Crews operated on scene approx 1 hour before returning into service.
