Engine 85 will be out of service for the next 20 wks. The rig will be getting a complete overhaul. The truck committee have spec'd the unit for a new Sutphen Monarch cab, upgrading the seating to six and adding A/C. The cab will also have a 10" raised roof. The lighting will be changed to all LED lights. The pump will be worked over and recertified which we have also added electric intake valves and electric deluge gun with controls. The unit will we brought up to the most current NFPA standards with a new paint job and lettering to boot. Expect to see the new rig in November. Engine 95 is gonna be busy!!  |

On Wednesday May 14th, (Brad's Birthday) The Holmes family along with 30 friends will travel to Harrisburg to the State Senate. Brad Holmes will be first volunteer firefighter to be recognized in the State for going above and beyond the call of duty while he was searching for a woman in her burning apartment February 29th, 2008. The recognition will be the same as a fallen soldier of war. We will spend the day with state legislators and representatives where they will recognize Brad. As all of you are aware Brad lost his life March 5th, 2008 from burns sustained during the rescue attempt in Mercy Hospital Burn Unit Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. |

Over the past few weeks Station 85 has been very busy. After last months tragic event, Brad we love you; the Station keeps it together by running call after call. The members at Station 85 are stronger and closer than ever before. We again would like to thank everyone for their support and condolences. The Station and the family appreciates them very much. |
