0453 HRS THIS MORNING STATION 85 WAS ALERTED TO ASSIST STATION 3 FOR A WORKING STRUCTURE FIRE ON GEORGETOWN RD.  ENGINE 85 WENT ENROUTE WITH 6.  ENGINE 85 ARRIVED 2ND DUE ENGINE COMPANY AND FOUND A ONE STORY RANCH STYLE HOUSE WITH FIRE SHOWING ON THE BRAVO SIDE OF THE STRUCTURE WHAT APPEARED TO BE AN ATTIC FIRE. CHIEF 85 TOOK THE COMMAND. ENGINE 85'S CREW QUICKLY MADE AN AGGRESSIVE INTERIOR ATTACK ON THE FIRE.  CREWS ENCOUNTERED HEAVY SMOKE AN HEAT AND WAS ABLE TO GET A GOOD KNOCK ON THE FIRE.  TANKER 76'S CREW ARRIVED TO OPEN THE ROOF UP ON THE CHARLIE SIDE. ONCE VENTING, 76'S CREW WENT TO WORK INTERIOR TO SUPPORT 85.  TRUCK 92 ALSO WAS ALERTED FOR ADDITIONAL TRUCK WORK.  ENGINE 77-2 WAS ENROUTE TO 85 FOR COVERAGE AND THEN DIVERTED TO THE SCENE FOR ADDITIONAL MANPOWER. TANKERS 3, 92, 84,76, ENGINE 85-2 SHUTTLED WATER FOR THE FIRE AND 55 CAME IN FOR THE RIT ASSIGNMENT. 100 WAS ON SCENE FOR EMS. CREWS WORKED FOR ABOUT 3 HRS BEFORE RETURNING INTO SERVICE.

0621 HRS JULY 14TH STATION 85 WAS ALERTED TO ASSIST STATION 3 FOR AN MVA WITH ENTRAPMENT AND FIRE FROM A HEAD ON COLLISON.  ENGINE 85 AND SQUAD 85 WENT ENROUTE WITH 11 VOLUNTEERS.  ENGINE 85 ARRIVED 2ND DUE ONSCENE BEHIND RESCUE 3 TO FIND 2 VEHICLES ONE VEHICLE FULLY INVOLVED AND THE SECONDED VEHICLE HAD ONE DOA.  ENGINE 85'S CREW WORKED QUICKLY TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE.  SQUAD 85'S CREW ARRIVED AND ASSISTED SUPERIOR EMS WITH PACKAGING OF A PT.  85'S CREWS REMAINED ON SCENE FOR APPRX 2 HRS TO ASSIST WITH EXTRICATION OF THE DOA.

7-10-2010 2052 HRS SQUAD 85 WAS REQUESTED FOR RIT, FOR A REPORTED HOUSE FIRE AT 113  HENDERSON RD. JACKSON TWP.  RESCUE 87 ARRIVED ON SCENE AND ASSUMED COMMAND, STATED THEY HAD A 12X12 OUT BUILDING INVOLVED.  FIRST IN UNITS KNOCKED FIRE DOWN, CANCELING THE RIT TEAM.  85 RETURNED INTO SERVICE.

7-9-2010 0858hrs Engine 85 was requested to moveup to Station 77 while they assisted Station 600, (Volant) at a working house fire.

2100 hrs on July 4, Station 85 was alerted along with Butler County Stations 33,34 for a reported AFA showing basement heat and 1st floor smoke alarms.  Engine 85 went enroute with a crew of 5.  Engine 85 arrived first due on scene to find a 2 story wood frame structure with an attached garage nothing showing.  Homeowner met the Engine crew in the front yard advising that he had burnt food with no fire, but had a smoke condition on the first floor.  Crews then placed a PPV fan on the A side of the building.  As smoke began to diminish, alarm was able to be reset.  All units returned back into service.

Stations 85,77,95,76 RIT and 34 were dispatched to a reported machinery building fire at 1041 hrs Sat. July 3rd.  Chief 85 arrived on scene with a approx. 24x24 building advising 25% involvement in the BC corner.  Engine 85 arrived on scene dropping LDH half way back the drive for Engine 95 to pickup.  Engine 95 in turn had to layout from the road due to the approx 2,000 ft. lay.  Engine 85 crews pulled (2) 1 3/4 lines for the knock down. Both 85 and 95 contained the fire quickly protecting adjacent exposures.   Crews fromm 77 and 34 stood by in staging. RIT was diverted to 85 for station coverage. Crews worked on scene approx and hour before returning into service.
